Here are the vocabulary Words for this week:
Here are four questions. Please choose Three of them and write your answers in your book. You can also work on the vocabulary if you are waiting a long time for me to come down from the 9th graders. Ask Eda if no-one opens the classroom for you.
1.What aspects of the ceremony of release are disturbing? Why do you think the term “release” is used? What effect do you think witnessing the ceremony has had on Jonas?
2.Why do you think the Giver decided finally that things must change?
3.What do you think the main themes (ideas and messages) of this novel are? Explain.
4.Write a journal/diary entry for one of the characters or for yourself if you were visiting the community for the day
Now finally the time has come to finish The Giver! Please read chapters 21-23 this week for homework.
Again please check the blogg on Monday morning and get started with writing your answers before I come down from the national test thing with the 9th graders.
Just a reminder that on Monday morning we’ll do the omprövning of the English national Writing test.
There is nothing you can do to prepare for it (except make sure you come on time).
You don’t need to bring anything with you except your student log in (AD12345) and password.
It’s a great chance to practice ahead of the national tests you’ll be doing on the computer in the spring.
See you on Monday!
